Missionaries with Camino Global since 1992, Alvin and Laurie Thompson continue serving at the Central American Theological Seminary, "SETECA." Alvin has been with the faculty, as well as the administration, and currently is the E-Learning Coordinator and Advisor for Virtual Education. After nine years in the U.S. developing and directing the online Masters' Program, the Thompson's are returning to Guatemala to improve and expand the online education offerings of SETECA.

Virtual Education for All Church Leaders

SETECA has a great vision for teaching and training church leaders throughout the Spanish-speaking world to accurately handle the Word of God while they are serving. Many throughout the world are unable to leave their homes and their ministries to gain a biblical education, so we must go to them. The plan is to improve our current offerings and expand what we are offering online to also include programs for laymen. The first two lay classes were beta tested last trimester before the formal launch in January, 2014.

WE'RE READY TO GO. God answered prayer and we leave for Guatemala January 2, 2014.

The airline tickets are bought!
Yeah! We've rented a house!
Our son and daughter-in-law, Vaughn and Traci Ann and grandsons, Stefen and Liam are living in our house and taking care of it and Shamus, the dog. Shamus is thrilled!
Pray for our financial need. We still need to buy a car in Guatemala.
Pray that we can be settled before before Alvin has to be at work.
Pray that the winter trimester will be competely ready on the day it launches.
